Still not 400hp... 😅😅😅🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Do you have sport chrono on this model? Apologies if that is a standard feature on any 2011 Speedster
Picking up my spyder Wednesday.
that looks like it would raise it an extra 15 inches at least
for me the only problem with this car is the back end, it just looks awful :/
Hey man.. love the car. I have a 15 cayman s (pse) with tune. I’m ordering fabspeed race headers tonight. Hello engine lights!
Been trying to decide on what to get for my next fun car (been missing my old foxbody haha) and man I really think these videos have sealed the deal for me on getting one of these, they look so fun to drive
100 200 slower?
Everyone skips out on the boxer!!! Cuz it’s a chick car!!!!!! Duhhh. Hahaha your Alan Harper
Man, I did not want that to end. Driving 8.5 or 9/10s in that car on that road was totally irresponsible, but dammit I don’t know when I’ve had that big a thrill on UA-cam. Outstanding, video, car and driving, thanks!
ok, but I'm looking for the best driver's car under $2k
Maybe a racing simulator lol
had to press subscribe after the first minute holy shit that thing is crazy
Too grippy Michelin Cup 2... Have you tried PS4S? Other opcions, stiffer sidewall than Michelin, Yokohama Advan V107
Brother, are there no deer where you live?
Yes and no. Depends on the time and season. Best to minimize the risks by reverse engineering their activity patterns
Great video! I agree the car is quiet until higher RPMs. Was the first thing I was surprised about when I bought mine. The volume is way over exaggerated.
Ever take it to the track? Would you need a roll bar if you did?
Went to the track once. Was fun but easy. Didn’t need a roll bar
Stoked for the heel toe driving lesson, trying to learn how to do that properly this summer.
the combination of those headers and LWFW wake this Porsche up!
Awesome sauce
What a machine! Sounds so good! I didn't even know these existed until i found your channel
Re-used the stock disk?
Reused the stock clutch disk
I’m a mechanical engineering student going into my third year. How can I get one of these within 5 years paid off?
Are you in the USA?
looking more and more like it's DOA after 2025...
you should make videos just driving the car without commentary
Great feedback, thank you.
where is this road?
God damn is right! What a trip… I love this Porsche and the ride along!
Brakes! We need deets on brakes & brake pads. Love watching you drive! Can’t wait for the heel n toe vid. Been struggling with that
this is sick, makes me want a boxster/cayman. the flywheel rev speed is hawt and that is coming from a s2000 owner lol
Exhaust OEM ?... Very nice sound !.

@@DasCayman Ok. Thank you.
Still 80k tho 😅. It’s like damn I could have a slightly used gt300 could get a freakin gt500 for that price. A c8 corvette NEW!! A g80 m3 xdrive slightly used that tunes to 750hp with a flash and a down pipe. Sorry but Porsche needs to cost like half the price to be worth it . Who tf is paying for a good driving experience with not much power for the price of a new luxury sports car. Not to mention porsches until the modern gen looked reallly dated and bad. Least they ditched the runny egg headlight
This car would do laps on those GT300 and GT500 cars and C8 Corvette all day :) But yes, they are very expensive, but the most refined and focus driving experience you can have.
@@DasCayman ive riden in a gt4 and gt3 on track so i fs get it. Its just tough to justify when theres so many great cars that do depreciate. Then again it can be an assett somewhat and not lose too much value. Probably will wait till I can get something upper end like gt4/3. Used prices are just insane rn tho upwards of 300k for gt3's
It looks way more sketchy driving hard through woods than on mountain canyons.. imagine a deer coming out suddenly! Shoot..
You'd be correct! In the 20 years of doing this I've only hit a deer twice. Just have to have good situational awareness. Damage both times wasn't bad and I repaired myself.
F for the squirrel
do you get the parts purchased offline? If yes then why not online?
Yes online!
Some fine driving ! Awesome car !
It's so much fun, and thank you!
For everyone watching this video, PLEASE DO NOT FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS. The engine must be locked at TDC bank 1 and the chain tensioners (at least the 2 accessible ones) removed. This is by far the most dangerous procedure to how remove the IMS flage. You should go play a lottery thicket, you have no idea how lucky you are that the engine didn't jump a tooth.
I'm just trying to understand how the engine can jump a tooth when everything is under tension and not loose? If the chains were loosened and the procedure was done this way then we can have a conversation. Out of hundreds of cars that had their IMS seals replaced this way, not one was returned back using this method. Obviously do what is right for you and what you feel comfortable doing, but I wanted to show others another way to do it that is not verbatim by the Porsche workshop manual.
@@DasCayman Your way is like Russian roulette. There is a reason why Porsche put together a procedure that is safe 100% of the time. You got super lucky, but don't listen to me, do your research so you will understand why.
Porsche has ALWAYS been the same, at least from what I've noticed over the last 25 or so years being around them. You don't sound very old, so assume you've not been around them tooo much longer. Porsche has always had brand awareness, but not like you insinuated, imo. Most people who own a porsche, at least as far as I've ever seen, like to drive and are car enthusiasts. Lambo, McLaren, Ferrari (to name a few) on the other had, some owners would hardly know the model above/below before they buy their car and wouldn't know how to change a wheel, let alone drive with any skill. Nice car, sounds great, nice shifts! Decent advice, to and extent. How do you get close to even comparing it to a GT3RS, though. A Miata is worth a fraction of even the Boxter Sypyder. Whilst I get the very, very, very broad analogy, it's a little far fetched, practically. Maybe that's where people are confusing your views and saying you have an ego. Speaking with conviction can cause that these days LOL. How does the Spyder handle in comparison to a coupe in your opinion? Because you're not far off GT4 money, at least in Australia (where I'm from, but don't live there anymore). In mexico, where I now live, they're not much less when converting currency. Let's face it, who cares about the cost of those seats. You can get some really nice aftermarket for a fraction of the price. I used to have a B9 RS4, when buying it I was tossing up between the Gt4 and RS4, VERY similar money at the time, the RS4 won due to practicality, snow trips/mtb in the back as well as 0-100 & 1/4mile times. I like the going fast feeling, without going too fast, as you eluded to. I feel those launch g's are similar to the wind thorugh the cabin. Fun, but keep it under silly speeds.
I owned a Miata and Porsche 911. Miatas only beat this car in three ways: Lower price, running costs, and maintenance. (You'll also have a ton of fun without losing your license in a Miata). (Porsche soooo much better in every other way)
Assuming you work on your own cars… the Porsches have been rather cheap to maintain tbh…
Always happy to see you driving your car the way its meant to be driven
These are awesome but that tent top idk that's a tough one.. but when the weathers right and you can 86 the tent you're in business
"You want a boxter, you want a boxter" 😵💫😵💫😵💫
What’s the difference between the 718 spider and the boxer spyder or is it the same thing.
RIP squirrel 🤣
Is the suspension compliant enough to give a comfy ride when chilling or too stiff for that?
You have to be early to drive fast - as you can see he is steering ahead of the corner - you have to lead these cars
@dascayman love this car so much! Only feedback is to replace that ug wheel with a 991 steering wheel
Nooo this is the best wheel!!!!
Genius video, I watched the whole thing grinning
What an adrenaline rush just watching your video! Watch out squirrel…
It's the best car for backroads :)
Is this the standard Porsche Sport Exhaust?
ua-cam.com/video/RSX_KsU9y64/v-deo.html
This guy is always having a jol!
These cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed!
I totally agree and I love your videos because I can feel like the passion!
This car would be dope if it had a roof 😂
No roof > Roof. But they make it and it's called the Cayman R
